A Decade of Dedication: Reflecting on 8 Years of My Water Advocacy Journey
As we observe World Water Day 2026, I find myself reflecting on how far this journey has come. What started as a simple walkathon I organized at the age of 8 in 2018 has grown into a movement focused on water conservation, environmental education, and youth leadership across Karnataka.
Over the past eight years, I have worked on restoring local ecosystems, creating awareness through literature, and even introducing digital gamification to make water education more engaging for students. Through my Sunshine Children For Change magazine, I have also been able to help institutionalize water awareness initiatives in government schools, ensuring that sustainability becomes part of everyday learning.
This journey has taught me that age is never a barrier to impact. Consistency, purpose, and community are what truly create change. I hope my work can serve as a small blueprint for youth-led environmental leadership.
Together, we can build a more water-secure and sustainable future.
