Every year, I celebrate Independence Day by giving something that truly grows with India -a living sapling.
These aren't store-bought plants. They began as simple fruit seeds right in my home, nurtured every day until they were strong enough to take root in the world.
This year, I had the privilege of celebrating Independence Day with the wonderful tiny tots and staff of Indian Convent School, Hanbal. We passed on these home-nurtured Jamun and Mango saplings into the eager hands of these young changemakers.
A heartfelt thank you to the Principal, Mr. Biju MJ-a true nature enthusiast-and the entire faculty for their incredible warmth and support.
